In January 2020, Lalor Running Club (LRC) committee member and coach Kirsty Branagan, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer. Throughout her treatment and surgeries at Northern Health, she was supported and cared for by an amazing medical team. She also had wonderful support from her club mates at Lalor Running Club.

During 2020, the club helped raise funds for Northern Health Foundation, and in 2021, decided to formalise this with a running event. The event was a huge success, so they have made it an annual fundraiser, with the event becoming bigger and better every year!

Since the first DNF Ultra, two more members of LRC have undergone treatment for cancer at Northern Health, giving the club even more reason to make this fundraiser a huge success.

The funds raised for this event will not only help our cancer patients at Northern Health, but support their families, knowing their loved one is getting the best possible treatment.
